Dive Into New Floral Trends with Sizzix Designer Olivia Rose!

Hi! I'm Olivia Rose, product designer for Sizzix, and I'd love to show you my new Thinlits Die Set 665955 Ornamental Stems!

One of the trends we’ve seen everywhere lately is dried flowers in home décor and occasion styling. Vases of delicate dried stems and flowers are much easier to keep alive for parties and decorations! Many brides are opting for dried flower bouquets that they can keep forever.

Inspired by this, I designed a selection of Thinlits dies! Each has a simple 3D assembly, to create even longer lasting blooms in your home.

These die cut stems work well as a collective bouquet, or intermingled with our other Sizzix floral and foliage dies.

Because of the nature of each shape, these work beautifully with the Sizzix Muted Cardstock (665695). Try using the Fold and Form tool (664895) or the Paper Sculpting Kit (662225) to help bring each piece to life.

I loved looking at the combination of large, dramatic shapes alongside delicate, detailed stems and seedheads for this die set. Working out how to create each unique shape was really fun and there were many hand-cut prototypes covering my desk!

Another bonus of this Ornamental Stems die set is that, with different colour-ways, this bouquet could work in any season! Imagine the fan shape in Sizzix Opulent Gold cardstock (664532) with red berries at Christmas, or pale pastels in spring.
