Making by Moonlight with Jennifer Ogborn!
Hi! I'm Jennifer Ogborn, a die designer for Sizzix. Do you love the night sky? Are you interested in Astrology and love to craft? Here are two stellar designs which will spark your interest.
Recently I have seen a lot of celestial themes circulating in current trends. So I thought - what better way to showcase this than by introducing my Nightlight (666021) die set and my Moonlight (666036) embossing folder?
Taking inspiration from the night sky, I started by drawing illustrations of moons, stars and constellations. I wanted a quirky, detailed embossing folder, but with enough empty space between shapes to emulate a genuine nightscape.
Imagining projects that would be made from these sets, I collated simple shapes which I thought could be widely used.
Modest stars, celestial outlines, and a unique moon seemed to be the perfect motifs to create these designs. Using similar shapes from the Nightlight Thinlits set in the Moonlight embossing folder creates a lovely continuity between the two.
In my opinion, Sizzix Luster Waxes (664810, 665271, 664809, 664811) are THE perfect addition to any project using the Moonlight embossing folder. Adding that extra twinkle in a project really highlights those intricate details.
Or take-a-look at the Sizzix Gold Sequins & Beads (663864), which I have used to finished off this magical day card here! Bold backgrounds with metallic accents can be so dramatic!
Individually or together, these two designs are perfect for all your magical, mystical cardmaking and papercrafting!
I would love to see what projects you avid stargazers create, so please share your makes with me on Instagram using #mymakingstory and tagging me @jennifer_ogborn_sizzix.
